Nissan Navara upgraded version has just launched to Vietnamese users. In the 2022 model year, the car only has 2 versions: Premium 4WD and PRO4X. Among them, I am really impressed with the new PRO4X version: more personal, more quiet.

First, in terms of exterior, the Navara PRO4X 2022 version is updated with Yokohama 265 AT rally-style multi-terrain tires that are very useful for users, combined with black painted wheels and a cool embossed red Nissan logo. next to the bold gray color tone.

In fact, judging whether a car model is beautiful or ugly will depend on each person’s own aesthetic taste, but for me, Navara has a quite unique appearance and that is enough to conquer the target customer base. This Navara PRO4X version is a combination of the strong masculine appearance of an Off-road pickup truck and the luxury and comfort of an SUV.

In practical experience, I feel that the new 2.3 turbo engine is much quieter than the 2.5L engine of the previous Navara. The engine comes with a 7-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode, moving in the speed range from 0-60km/h (2-3 gear) in the city significantly smoother than the old version. In particular, maximum torque is achieved at low engine rpm and a wide range from 1,500-2,500 rpm, so it is smoother. In general, the new 2.3L twin-turbo engine is more elegant, lighter and smoother.

In addition, Navara PRO4X is provided with a rear suspension system using springs, multi-links, stabilizer bars… so the ride is really smooth, the feeling is no different from driving an SUV. Especially when moving through speed bumps, the tail does not swing compared to the tweezers, and there is no balance bar.

The car is equipped with a convenient 360° panoramic camera system, but the resolution is not really impressive. The Pro4X version is equipped with an offroad monitor feature. With this feature, in slow 2-wheel drive mode, the driver can clearly observe the surrounding terrain, including the exact position of the front wheel. In addition, the collision warning system (MOD) is also integrated on the screen and will activate when it detects objects moving close to the vehicle, helping to avoid unfortunate collisions.

Another plus point for the Navara PRO4X is the LED light system with 4 beams: 2 low beams/2 high beams arranged horizontally to create good cutting, grip on the road, and the color temperature seems to be quite yellow.

Moving inside, the car is equipped with a new steering wheel, but it looks a bit weak. In return, the back seat is less tiring than the old model, helping people sit more comfortably on long journeys.

However, I personally think the new Navara PRO4X still has some points that need improvement to increase its competitiveness with rival models in the same segment. It can be said that the new steering wheel is light in the city but at high speed it lacks the smoothness like the old one. The interior should be further improved, especially the central screen and 360 camera. The driver’s seat lacks an electric adjustment function.

Furthermore, Navara PRO4X also needs to be supplemented with a high-end AT driving assistance system: ACC, FCM, BSM,…
